Folks, here comes Archos Gen10 XS super slim tablets! The Archos’ Gen10 XS Series tablets consist of 101 XS that prepared for launching mid-September this year, the 97 XS and 80 XS models that are scheduled for release in U.S market November this year.

This new generation of Archos Gen10 XS tablets are coupled with the innovative Coverboard, probably thinking of competing with Apple’s Smart Cover for iPad, is a multi-functional magnetic cover, a magnetic kickstand to hold and dock the tablet as well as chicklet keyboard for easy typing.


At the core, Archos 101 XS super slim Android tablet is powered by a 1.5GHz OMAP 4470 dual-core 1.5GHz processor, PowerVR’s SGX544 graphics, 1GB RAM, 10.1-inch touchscreen, 1280×800 touchscreen resolution, supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi as well as GPS for connectivity.

You will find a single, front facing camera that supports 720p video recording, there is a microSD/SDHC card slot for additional storage up to 128GB, 16GB internal flash memory and 1x mini HDMI output. This version of Archos Gen10 101 XS model will be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will soon get update for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.

Expect to see Archos Gen10 XS available in UK by November this year at GBP399.99 pricing, and by the way, Archos also going to release the Speaker Dock with 32-Watt speaker and Docking Station with USB port and RCA audio ports.

The Coverboard itself could be recharged by plugged it into normal power outlet using the bundled power adapter cable.
