Read alot about gadgets, but did you travel to China recently? The latest Qingdao Haiwan Bridge is claimed to be the longest and fastest accomplished road-bridge, at least for the time being, that connect Shandong’s Qingdao with the suburb of Huangdao, measuring 26.4 miles long, and has been completed not long ago.

Meanwhile, for the railway-bridge category, the longest in the world record is China’s Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge that has a span of 102 miles.

Yes, Qingdao Haiwan Bridge is about three miles longer than Lake Pontchartrain Causeway in Louisiana, making China the world record holder for longest bridge in the world. How long does it takes to accomplish a 26.4 miles long bridge?

According to official data, the world longest Qingdao Haiwan Bridge took Shandong Gausu Group under the leadership of the CEO, Sun Liang, to spend about four ‘short’ years and employed about 10,000 road contruction workers and experts to build, and the total cost for the Qingdao Haiwan Bridge is about USD8.5 billion dollars.

Hopefully there will be no Tsunami or earth quakes between Qingdao island and Shandong province, or else, what kind of security measure would China government took to safe lives of those commuter on the 26.4 miles long bridge?
