Aava Mobile unveiled the world’s thinnest x86 smartphone device during the MWC 2010. Aava mobile also claimed the smartphone as the first mobile device operate using open hardware system. The smartphone’s design itself is based on the Intel Atom Moorestown platform.
Aava Mobile fully open mobile device has a dimension of 64mm (w) x 125mm(h), with a thickness of 11.7mm. The reference design is aimed at Moblin 2.1 and Android for the OS options with future planning for support of MeeGo. Aava mobile’s design is targeting to serve OEM and ODM markets.

Features include an extended touch screen, full HD video capability, micro USB port, HD video conferencing, dual mics, 3D sound and UI, GSM capable, and it has GPS, WiFi, compass, and an accelerometer.
