Well this e-paper is branded as Bridgestone. They have announced an electronic paper device that will run on its “Quick-response Liquid Powder” (QR-LPD) technology. Bridgestone plans to exhibit the QR-LPD devices at FPD International 2009, at Pacifico Yokohama. The exhibition will run from today, Oct 28 till Oct 30.
The e-paper has a bendable A4 size screen with 4,096 colors touch-sensitive surface. The refresh rate of the screen is 0.8 seconds.
Bridgestone also developed an e-paper device whose e-paper, touch panel, drive circuit board and other parts are all flexible. The company claims it is the world’s first flexible e-paper device. The size of the e-paper is 10.7 inches, and the thickness of the device is 5.8mm.
