Electric Drive, is a new two seats, zero-emission electric vehicle introduced by Smart Car USA in Ridgefield. A limited edition of 250 units Electric Drive will be produced, and will be sold in five places through out United States. If you are living in Fairfield County, you might be the lucky one to get your hands one this eco-friendly electric car.
You could recharge the Electric Drive with a 110V or 220V power outlet, the battery bank is designed under the cargo space in the trunk, while the place for fuel tank is replaced with the car’s charging system. A full recharge will bring you about 83 miles away.
The initial fifty cars is going for lease for USD599 per month up to four years. Another 200 units will also be sold in San Francisco, Tampa, Oregon and Portland.
Claims to be extremely safe, it has a built in ellipsoid shape, which is one of the strongest shapes known to man. Moreover, the driver’s seats are located in the middle of two layers of micro-alloy high strength steel.
