Garmin Edge 500 is one of the device that will help you monitor your beats in order to maintain an aerobics exercise through out your cycling session. It is sleek, lightweight wireless GPS-based cycling device to help monitor your cycling performance while keep you inform on your physical condition.

A high-sensitivity GPS receiver with HotFix that quickly acquires and maintains satellite reception. It tracks speed, distance, time, GPS position, elevation, calories burned, climb and descent. A barometric altimeter is also included to pinpoint changes in elevation.

Garmin’s Edge 500 can connect wirelessly with ANT+ compatible third-party power meters or pair wirelessly with Garmin speed/cadence sensors and features advanced heart rate-based calorie computation when used with a Garmin heart rate monitor. The device comes with a low-profile, quarter-turn mount that fits easily on the stem or handlebars. It is IPX7 certified for waterproof and has up 18 hours of battery life.

Once your ride’s done, connect Edge 500 to your computer with the included USB cable to analyze your performance. You can also participate in Garmin Connect, a one-stop site for data analysis and sharing. Garmin Edge 500 will be released in Q4 for $249.99, or $349.99 when bundled with a heart rate monitor and speed/cadence sensor.
