Gorilla Glass 2: Thinner, More Reliable And Protective Than Ever!

Gorilla Glass 2, the next generation of Gorilla Glass is somehow has an ‘cooler’ potential compare to the current Gorilla Glass that being sold in the market. As shown at CES 2012 early this year, the demonstration of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2 has significant ruggedness compare to the current version of Gorilla Glass.

Expect to see some thinner, touch sensitive, rugged smartphones, tablets, monitors and even HDTVs going to get Gorrilla Glass 2 treatment that should arrives at the manufacturers by April or May this year.

According to Corning, “The thinner Gorilla Glass 2 enables slimmer and sleeker devices, brighter images, and greater touch sensitivity. These benefits can provide electronics manufacturers with superior design flexibility as they address consumer demand for increasingly high-performing, touch-sensitive, and durable mobile devices.”
