Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid is an attention grabber clamshell notebook that was exhibited during the CES-2010 in Las Vegas. The IdeaPad U1 has an interesting 11.6-inch LED multitouch display that is removable and could be used as a standalone slate tablet. The notebook is using Intel Core 2 Duo CULV processor running Window 7 OS. On the other hand, the separatable tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snap Dragon processor and using Lenovo’s Skylight Linux operating system.
It is basically a combination of a Tablet and notebook into one portable device. Hence, unlike convertible notebook or tablet, you could separate the display from the notebook and use either the tablet or the netbook separately. Other specs includes a integrated webcam, 3G connectivity, WiFi and Bluetooth.
The Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid has a bright scarlet red exterior and will meet its market starting 1st June 2010.
