Hitachi Maxell Ltd has introduced their new laminated lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery during the first international battery expo that took place in Tokyo on March 3 to 5.

Coded as IMS65142235, the new Hitachi Maxell’s rechargeable battery has a dimension of 6.5mm thick, 142mm wide and 235mm long.


You could now use this type of Li-ion rechargeable battery for the power supplies of electric bikes, automated guided vehicles, etc. The IMS65142235 has rated capacity, nominal voltage, final voltage and maximum current at 10Ah, 3.7V, 2.75V and 30A, respectively.

According to news release from Tech-On, the new laminated Li-ion battery’s positive electrode consists of a spinel-type manganese oxide material, which has a high heat stability.
