What do we have for today? The awesome Kinect has made another breakthrough under the cold hand of Haruki Maeda from Meiji University. Maeda has managed to create a presentation software that works with Kinect in an awesome way.
The presentation software will identify whenever someone or the presenter is standing in front of the projected area and let the texts and graphics to warp around the visible space around the presenter or object at front.
Moreover, presenter will be able to use hand gesture to move or make transition of texts and images using Kinect’s motion detection technology. Presenter could also use his/her hand gestures to pinch-to-zoom live on stage, making zooming of images, text or figures similar to a tablet’s touchscreen.
Hopefully the interactive gesture sensitive projection technology will become available starting next year.
