Recently spotted at Hong Kong Ani-Com Show, is this Astro Boy figurine from Hong Kong Hot Toys.
The Astro Boy is the comic character created by Osamu Tezuka (the father of Manga) in 1952, Astro Boy played a big part in the rise of the anime trend all over the world.
Astro Boy comics and series have been in the market over the last two decades—influencing pop culture, such as teenage hairstyles, video games (Mega Man), and movies.
According to the news released, Astro Boy’s movie will be released by October 23rd this year. The movie is using voices from Samuel L. Jackson, Charlize Theron and Donald Sutherland look solid.
With the “Astro Boy” movie on every anime fan’s lists of ‘things-to-look-forward-to-this-year’, toy manufacturer in Hong Kong, Hot Toys, has timing out nice on their latest Astro Boy figurine showcase nicely.
