Perhaps this is how Microsoft [MSFT] warned those hijacker for their pirated games. As the news released, Microsoft has banned over 1,000,000 Xbox 360 owners to access Xbox Live service. This number is equivalent to approx. 5 percent of total 20millions Microsoft Xbox 360 owners worldwide.
The banned Xbox 360 owners are said to use modified consoles to play pirated games online.
In short, no more modded Xbox 360 consoles will be allowed to go live and playing pirated games online.
Although it seems that their Xbox Live account still works and it is only the modded consoles that have been banned. So it looks like a lot of Xbox Live players will have to purchase a new console from Microsoft if they want to continue using Xbox Live.
