Microsoft Surface Software Development Kit – Surface Computers Made Possible

by Edward Xu on November 24, 2009

Microsoft is releasing its Surface Software Development Kit (SDK) for free download right now. This is a software similar to the one used on the Microsoft Courier we have reviewed back in September.

It seems like Microsoft is encouraging software houses and developers to design more interesting application for Microsoft Surface computers.

SDK has a download size of 144.2MB, if you do not have a touchscreen surface display, you could use the PC-based simulator to test your applications out. Over the last year Microsoft has gone from having just 60 MS Surface partners moving now to more than 250 partners.

Until now, SDK has been downloaded over 5,000 times, quite a figure for a Surface base application.  Did the number tell us the future of touchscreen computer will be in the new horizon soon?
