MINI Roadster has been finalized for production starting next year, similar to MINI Coupe, MINI roadster shares similar dimension, measuring 3,728 x 1,683 x 1,384-mm (LxWxH), with a wheelbase of 2,467 mm (97.12 in).

MINI Roadster features a manually-opening soft-top roof and will be offered in four different engine variants. MINI Roadster is likely lower more than 20 mm (0.78 in) than the MINI Convertible, and has a more steeply windshield design.

A low center of gravity, torsionally rigid body and optimized aerodynamic performance combine to give the vehicle what MINI calls a “full-blooded go-kart feeling.”

There’s stowage room behind the driver and passenger seats and a through-loading system and 240-liter (63.4 US gal) luggage area with wide-opening tailgate for easier loading. MINI also offers an optional wind protection insert between the polished stainless steel roll-over bars.

The average fuel consumption for MINI Roadster according to EU is only 4.5 liters/100 kilometers (62.8 mpg imp), the CO2 emissions is about 118 g/km.

MINI Roadster is scheduled to meet the public at 2011 Los Angeles Motor Show that will be held next month. However, the petrol-powered variants are likely to be available in North America.

MINI Roadster comes with various options including MINI navigation system, and MINI Connected features, black headlight housings, xenon Adaptive headlights, automatic climate control, Harman Kardon hi-fi speaker system, for receiving web radio broadcast, Google services, RSS news feeds, Mission Control and in-car use of social networking service such as Facebook and Twitter.
