We have mentioned about Asus Padfone, which is a smartphone tablet that comes with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display, Adreno 225 GPU and a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor with the dock outlook pretty near to the keyboard dock on the Transformer Prime tablet.

The hybrid smartpohne tablet has an VGA front facing as well as an 8 MP rear facing cameras, HDMI port, Bluetooth 4.0 and equipped with both GPS and A-GPS features.

If this is the issue, users will not be able use the Padfone’s tablet as a standalone device, where the tablet itself is a ‘depedent’ gadget to either the smartphone or the dock for power or data processing, leading to a docking on a dock chain relation that might become a potential problem for those who wish  to have a standalone usage of the Padfone device anytime and anywhere they go.

No info on pricing and availability yet, but there is still questions remaining about the new Asus Padfone, since it will be able to work with the smartphone for powering up the tablet and the dock for longer operation time for the tablet. No doubt that majority users will still vote for Transformer Prime in term of the mobility and standalone.

Is this one way for Asus to cover the track of lack of synchronization between Transformer Prime with a smartphone?
