Panasonic’s Evolta Battery Robots Achieve Guiness Book of World Records

Earned the prestige given by Guinness Book of World Records as “the longest distance covered by a battery-operated remote-controlled car” – Panasonic’s 30cm long and 20cm high robot  with two Panasonic’s Evolta AA batteries, could cover a distance of 23.7 kilometers or completed five and a half laps before running out of battery power.

The robot was guided by through the track by a vehicle emitting infrared light for the robot to follow.
