Remember the augmented reality quadricopter from Parrot AR Drone being shown during the CES 2010 early this year?


According to news released by Engadget, Parrot AR Drone is planning for official launch at E3 on June 15, 2010. You could use a Wi-Fi remote control to navigate the Quadricopter.

You could also navigate AR.Drone’s Quadricopter your iPhone using its WiFi feature via an ad-hoc connection. Furthermore, you could do simulated augmented reality fight with other copters. Parrot AR. Drone Quadricopter comes with two cameras.

The control system comprises of two ultrasonic transmitters for vertical stability, a three-axis accelerometer, and a two-axis gyroscope paired with a single-axis yaw precision gyroscope.

Estimated Price: USD30.- [ can’t believe it would be priced so cheap, however no official announcement regarding the price yet! ]
