Sony Computer Entertainment Incorporated has officially announced the Next Generation Portable handheld gaming device as PS VITA. The PS VITA PCH-1000 is going to have 5-inch multitouch capacitive OLED screen offering 16:9 aspect ratio, 960×544 pixel resolution, six-axis motion sensing system using built-in three-axis gyroscope, three-axis accelerometer, and three-axis electronic compass.
Power by a 4 Core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, PS VITA PCH-1000 will have SGX543MP4+ graphics processing unit. You will able to take pictures using the front and rear cameras, offering 120fps at 320×240 QVGA resolution or 60fps at 640×480 VGA resolution.
For connectivity, you will get Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR (A2DP/AVRCP/HSP), while on the 3G/Wi-Fi only model will also offer mobile network connectivity and built-in GPS.
PS VITA PCH-1000 also designed with dual analog sticks and multitouch pad on the back panel that will offer gamers a new experience horizon on a handheld gaming device.
