PS3 3D Capabilities – Sony New Firmware Upgrade

Sony is going to update the PS3 firmware that support 3D effect by June this year. However, the initial firmware update for 3D games will not support Blu-Ray movie titles, and the 3D support will only be working for its 3D game titles available through the Playstation Network (PSN).

The second firmware update however, is expected to bring 3D functionality for Blu-Ray movies and would be available later this year. For buyers of Sony HX803 will be entitled to gain free access for 4 remastered PSN titles of Motorstorm Pacific Rift, PAIN, Stardust HD and Wipeout HD.

The firmware update for Sony PS3 will be compatible to most HDTV that support 3D viewing.
