Toyota has unveiled their latest edition of all-electric RAV4 SUV during the 26th annual electric vehicle symposium took place in Los Angeles recently.
The all-electric new Toyota RAV4 EV is claimed to have 100 miles mileage after a six hours of recharge on a 240V/40 charger. The front wheel drive vehicle’s battery and electric power train is a joint project between Toyota and Tesla Motors, that includes advanced charging options. The electric power train is capable to produce up to 115kW or about 154 HP at 2,800 rpm.
The new all-electric RAV4 SUV is capable to reach 60mph in speed from starting in seven seconds and a maximum speed up to 100 mph. On the Normal mode, it reaches 60 mph within 8.6 seconds and maximum speed of 85 mph.
Ideal for users that demand quite and smooth ride, new all-electric Toyota RA4 comes with the battery mounted at central location below the seats.
Equipped with front bumper, low-beam LED front headlights with halogen high beams, grills, spoiler, under body and side mirrors, similar to petrol vehicle, but the shape has been redesigned to increase airflow around the RAV EV for more electric efficiency.
Comes in three outlook options of classic silver metallic, Shoreline Blue Pearl and Blizzard White Pearl, Toyota RAV4 EV has a signature of ‘environmental blue’ on the front door panel. Inside the car, RAV4 EV offers a Neutron fabric, with a subtle sheen and blue accent on the seats and door trim for the interior.
