The Samsung LD220 is the world’s first USB monitor specifically designed to be laptop or notebook companion.

First unveiled during World IT Show 2009 in Korea, Samsung LD220 LCD is an USB monitor that is used together with laptop or other usb player devices.
As it is design dedicated for instant plug and play, the LD220 provides a brightness level of 300cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 30,000:1 and a response speed of 5ms.
What unbelievable is, although other usb gadgets such as: digital cameras and MP3 players have been widely popular since decade ago, it took such a long period of time to develop such a USB extension monitor.

The Samsung LD220 itself is a 22″ LCD monitor featuring Samsung’s UbiSync technology.
UbiSync technology allows up to 6 six monitors connection from USB cables, without a graphics card or complex software installations.

It therefore allows more portability for those looking for a larger, richer screen for visual effects on the go. The intelligent image size function projects 4:3 images from laptops into a Movie Wide 16:9 aspect ratios in HD content, you will find it very usefull for entertainment and business presentation purposes.
The Samsung LD220 has a resolution of 1366×768, 5ms response time, 25cd/m2 brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. The 2-lamp low power cosumption greatly reduces the energy needs. The Samsung LD220 has a VGA and USB interface, is compatible with Windows Vista operating systems.
