This is the first phone using a Mobile Digital TV chip, the world’s first single-chip solution that accepted by ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) for Mobile Digital TV standard.

Samsung Moment will be able to receive live digital TV broadcast from local broadcast stations, including prime-time network programs, local news and sports and emergency alerts using this particular chip.

Samsung was the co-developer of the ATSC standard, its mobile digital TV chip will make digital broadcasting possible for mobile phones, laptops, USB drives and other mobile devices.

I’m in Marin County just North of the Golden Gate. I’ve had my Samsung Moment for a week and love it. Will be searching the forum http://www.SamsungMomentForum.com to solve what looks like the common problem of short battery life that I’m experiencing, and get advice on apps and accessories, I also have a CE and Mobile technology mktg consulting company so might be asking for your input on some future usage and technologies coming out. Thanks for posting this.
