Latest info about Sharp’s e-reader as well as tablet device is the Galapagos that comes in two screen sizes of 5.5-inch and 10.8-inch. The 5.5-inch Sharp Galapagos is capable of reaching 1024×600 pixel resolution on its LCD screen, while the 10.8-inch is capable of delivering up to 1366×800 pixel resolution.
Both versions of Sharp Galapagos come with Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, navigational trackball, and the cloud-based ecosystem is capable of storing up to 30,000 newspapers, magazines, e-books. This is not surprising since the Japan hold one of the fastest internet connections in the world beside Portugal for 1Gbps.
Sharp is planning for December launch, but till release of this article, no info about technical specifications, international availability and pricing yet.
