A global pioneer of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC) – G24 Innovations (G24i), has announced the first ever commercial shipment of DSSC photovoltaic modules to Hong Kong-based consumer electronics bag manufacturer, Mascotte Industrial Associates. This will be the second solar bag we have reviewed beside the Neuber’s Sun Bag.

The G24i module is based on a technology invented by the internationally acclaimed chemist, Prof. Michael Grätzel, Ph. D, Director, Laboratory of Photonics and Interfaces at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne.

The uniqueness of G24i’s DSSC module is on the capability to harvest solar energy while used outdoors as well as as in low light indoors conditions.

The Mascotte’s Solar Bag able to power mobile devices such as mobile phones, e-books, cameras, and portable LED lighting systems.
