Latest news from California, a San Diego base solar power industry Pyron Solar, has managed to produce an extremely efficient photovoltaic chip that will change the solar power as futuristic alternative energy outlook.
And according to Stephanie Rosenthal, president of Pyron Solar, the good news is, it will be able to generate a lot of jobs for people all around the globe, resolving the high unemployment rate issue in many countries world wide.
Reverse to many conventional thinking about solar panel, where the bigger the power, the larger the solar panel size, but according to Ellis, Pyron’s technology is the future, which mean the reverse in size but with greater power generated from more efficient solar power cell.
The said photovoltaic chip is made 20~25% percent more efficient by Pyron.
As the Pyron’s new technology could increase the received sun power as much as 500 times than before. Meaning, the hotter the cell will be, as it can burn asphalt in a matter of seconds. And in order to keep it cool, the cells will have to be float in the water, a completely new way of placing solar panel.
While the biggest advantage is the size, a cluster of cells about the size of a teams logo on a football field produces as much energy as an entire football field full of old flat panels! (Wow… This must be the coolest solar power gadget ever posted on the net!)
“It’s great for the economy, (and) its great for the environment,” Ellis said. “You can’t beat it.”
Another advantage to this new technology is that the solar energy can be delivered right though your local power company so there’s no need to place cells or panels on your home.
Ellis hopes to have this solar energy in Bakersfield homes within the year.
If the said technology commencing soon, believably our world will turn greener in a faster rate, compare to the efforts of the last 100 years could contribute. Just imagine cars, helicopters, planes, ships, cellphones, computers, industrial machineries are all using the efficient solar cell power, how would the pollution and glass house effect of burning those fossil oil turn into?
