Sony 3D TV – A Cylindrical Shape

Going to meet public for the first time at Tokyo’s Digital Contents Expo this Thursday, it seems the era of flat and square tv is reaching its turning point. Sony is going to preview their new cylindrical 3D TV that is viewable from different angles?

The device supports up to 24-bit, 96 by 128 pixel stereoscopic color images and viewer need no special 3D glasses to see the 3D effect anymore.

Although the 10.6-inches height prototype is still underdevelopment, Sony seem not certain which way the product is heading for at the moment. But from its various viewing angles, this device could be come an intriguing digital photo frame, picture viewers or simply as gaming display.
