Sony has showcased the 16-inch 3D Vaio notebook prototypes on IFA 2010 Berlin. Sony said the 3D notebooks will have 240Hz refresh rate, and it should use Sony Bravia shutter glasses in order to get a proper viewing.

Hopefully, the real 3D notebooks will be available on the coming CES 2011 next year. No info if Sony going to bundle the 3D shutter glasses with the 3D notebook or sold separately yet.

Sony-Vaio-3D-laptop-IFA-2010This is a disappointment, whatsoever, that new Sony 3D notebooks going to incorporate 3D shutter glasses. Hopefully there will be more aggressive development on the display with at least, parallax barrier type of display technology without the necessity of getting any 3D eye-wear for appropriate viewing.
