Two new high-contrast, high-definition projectors, that will add more options for users looking for a true cinematic home theater experience are another quality visual products launched by Sony few days ago.
The new projectors are VPL-VW85 and VPLHW15. Both featuring full HD Silicon X-tal Reflective Display (SXRD) and 24p True Cinema technology, and Sony’s MotionFlow 120 Hz balck frame insertion technology, it will deliver a true film like performance with superb clarity and resolution for fast moving images.
VPL-VW85 with be equipped with a Panamorph anamorphic lens system, which will displays the image at 2.40:1 cinema widescreen.
The external anarmorphic lens (sold separately) will allows users to enjoy a true big screen home theater experience. Additionally, the lens offers a 1.6x motorized zoom with horizontal and vertical adjustment, making it easy to set up in a variety of environments.
The new projector also offer RS-232C control, as well as two HDMI inputs, single component and composite inputs, and a PC input. In addition, the VPL-VW85 includes access to a dedicated CEDIA certified technical support hotline for all troubleshooting and is eligible for Sony’s Advance Exchange program. This minimizes downtime for exchanges if a customer experiences any problems within 90 days of original purchase.

Sony is keeping just a step or two in front of everybody else. I think they might lose some sales in the less expensive markets though. Beautiful products though.
