TravelMate B113: Acer Ultraportable Notebook

TravelMate B113 is the latest ultraportable notebook unveiled by Acer for European market. This B113 notebook is powered by Intel’s Sandy Bridge technology running either Intel 1.4GHz Celeron B877, 1.3GHz Pentium B967 or Intel 1.5GHz Core i3-2377M processor.

Acer TravelMate B113 ultraportable notebook comes with a 11.6-inch screen size, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, USB 3.0, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, multitouch trackpad, chiclet keyboard and Intel HD graphics 4000 graphics processor. Weighing only 1.38 kg, this TravelMate B113 is only 21mm thick, ideal for student’s backpacks for learning purpose.

Furthermore, TravelMate B113′s Acer ProShield Manager, is a software suite for security and manageability tools that integrates fundamental features in a unified user interface. Acer ProShield is meant to secure the notebook from unwanted access from BIOS level all the way up to application level, safe guard critical files by encrypting and storing them in a Personal Secure Drive (PSD), that allow users to remove any unwanted files or folders beyond recovery.

Other mentioned features including a series of Education pre-installed or free to download software, including Acer Classroom Manager, designed to ease teachers with the ability to instruct, monitor and interact with their students in class through computer.

The six cell battery offers enough power for more than 7 hours of battery life, avoiding the need for recharging or turning off the notebook during the class where only few outlets are available as well as offering more mobility to the students.
