Asus has unveiled their latest Bamboo series U33 and U53 notebooks. Both Asus U33 and Asus U53 is powered by Intel Core i5-430M, NVIDIA Optimus graphics for higher graphics performance and low power consumption, GeForce 310M 1GB GPU and also integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics.


Features mentioned including 4GB DDR3 RAM, 2MP webcam, USB 3.0 port, 2x USB 2.0, HDMI and VGA, DVD burner, 640GB hdd (U53) and 500GB hdd (U33). Besides, you will also find ethernet port, audio in/out ports and both are running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.


The difference between U33 and U53 is on the screen sizes of 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch respectively. Both Asus Bamboo U33 and U53 notebooks’ casing are designed with brushed aluminum and of course, as the name implies, part of the casing material is made of Bamboo.


The 8-cell 5600mAh battery will give you up to 10hrs of power, of course presuming you take a judicious use of the integrated graphics.
