UltraDrive DX SSD – Joint Technology Between SuperTalent And Toshiba

Do you remember the Super Talent Fast SSD Raid reviewed few times ago? And now, as a joint technology between Toshiba and Super Talent, together they have created UltraDrive DX, a series of 4 SSDs which offer legitimate performance and advanced security protection.

UltraDrive DX SSD drives are designed on two-tiered system to provide extra priority on security. Password protection on the first level while the data randomization technology that will started automatically is the second level of protection against unwanted copying of blocks of data and access to the disks.

On the speed, the UltraDrive DX SSDs will have 230Mb/sec and 180Mb/sec for sequential reading and writing speed.

The SSD are using Toshiba’s controllers and MLC flash memory that are paired with 128MB of cache, ECC and wear leveling algorithms for higher reliability.All products carry a two-year warranty and Super Talent expects them to start shipping next week.
