ViewSonic is introducing its ultra-thin VPD400 MovieBook, a 4.3-inch portable media player features high-resolution LCD screen. The device has 800×480 pixels with a neat battery that could provide up to 12 hours of audio and up to six hours of video on a single charge.
VPD400 comes with 8GB of internal memory and the extendable Micro SD storage slot. If you want to share the media files for a full-sized entertainment experience with friends and family at home, the VPD400 has the outgoing ports that are easily plugs into any PC or TV. The MovieBook is now open for pre-order and is going to be available in time for the this coming holidays in several stylish colors, including black, pink and white.
It is compatible to windows 98/2000/SE/ME/XP and Vista, no info if this device going to fit the latest Windows 7.
Recognized photo formats including JPEG, BMP, PNG and GIF. Meanwhile for Video Formats it reads AVI, RM/RMVB, FLV, MP4, MOV, PMP, MPG, VOD, DAT, H.264 and H.263.
Compatible Audio formats MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, APE and OGG. Users could use it to watch HD 720p movies, listen to music, view photo albums, read digital books or even record voice memos. For ease of navigation, the device has remote control included in the package.
