It looks more like an archery target board rather than a wireless speaker system, Bang & Olufsen’s BeoPlay A9 comes with a round shape design, sports 2x 3/4-inch tweeters, 2x 3-inch midrange units, on which all four are driven by separate 80-watt class D amplifiers. There is also an 8-inch bass unit that powered by 160 watts class D amplifier.

The A9 also has a line-in jack for direct audio playback, while the USB port is for charging the speaker system. BeoPlay A9 supports both AirPlay and DLNA for wireless music streaming from iPad, iPhone, Android devices as well as other DLNA compatible audio devices.


BeoPlay A9 wireless speaker system powered by a 2.1 bass reflex loudspeaker system, five dedicated speaker units and amps for delivering 480-watt total output. There are three pre-set sound modes to choose from, namely wall, corner and freestanding with a fine-tuned Digital Signal Processor algorithm, a feature that deliver lively audio experience and rich bass through the Adaptive Bass technology.


Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay A9 is available in six customizable fabric colors of silver, black, red, brown, green and white. You could hung the BeoPlay A9 onto the wall, or alternatively, you could use the three wooden legs and place it on the floor similar to your other furniture.

Scheduled for release in November this year, B&O BeoPlay A9 speaker system is going to carry a price tag of USD2,699.
