ELPH 300 HS and ELPH 100 HS are two new Canon PowerShot Digital Cameras that come with 12.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor, Optical Image Stabilizer, Full HD 1080p video recording with HDMI output and HS System with Digic 4 image processor for dim-light shooting environment.

PowerShot ELPH 300 HS also known as IXY 410F in Japan and IXUS 220 HS in Europe, on the other hand, PowerShot ELPH 100 HS is known as IXUS 115 HS in Europe and as IXY 210F in Japan.



Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS sports a 24mm wide angle 5x optical zoom lens and a 2.7-inch LCD screen while the ELPH 100 HS gets a 28mm wide angle lens with 4x optical zoom, and a 3-inch LCD display.

Other mentioned features including Movie Digest mode that records a short video clip right before shooting a still image and then combines one day’s worth of clips into one video, Face Detection, Smart AUTO, high-speed shooting at 8fps, Super Slow Motion movie reocrding and Dynamic IS for video shooting.

Both PowerShot ELPH 300 HS and PowerShot ELPH 100 HS will be released in mid-March. Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS comes in red, black and silver while the PowerShot ELPH 100 HS in blue, gray, pink, silver, and orange.
