Speaking of lower carbon footprint, Porsche does not want to be left behind other four wheels manufacturers.

The new Porsche 918 Spyder concept is a mid-engined sports car with plug-in hybrid and powered by a 500-horsepower V8 engine and a pair of electric motors on the front and rear axle, capable delivering an additional 218hp or 160kW of electricity.

A significant CO2 reduction of a mere 70 grams per kilometer and the best part is, the 918 Spyder concept capable to achieve 78 miles distance for each gallon of fuel being used.





The maximum top-speed is 198 mph and Porsche 918 Spyder could reach 62 mph in a mere 3.2 seconds, provided, of course, the road are smooth and not much waving on the asphalt surface!
