A greener concept of storing fresh fruits has been revealed by Yitu Wang. The concept is dubbed as Water Shade and uses water as a shield to protect fruits stored inside the plate from being freely exposed to oxigen, carbon dioxide, germ, ethene or calorific.
Wang believes that by storing fresh fruits in the water shade plate will prolong the lifespan of the fruits and help to retain the precious vitamins within those fresh fruits.
The Water Shade concept is using a built-in detector device to identify when a hand is approaching and will automatically deactivate the water barrier.
No info if the said water shade concept would be possible for today’s technology to achieve.
